Bows branded 'Simon FR' are thought to be the work of Nicolas Simon, the FR being a reference to his wife's maiden name, Frebinet. Simon was based in Mirecourt and his work is of a high quality. His style was largely consistent, often featuring strong heads, triangular sticks and Peccatte-school buttons.
