Carlo Rugeri was the youngest son of Francesco Rugeri and was trained by his father in the family workshop. Upon Francesco's death in 1698, Carlo inherited his father's tools, likely because he was the only son who remained in the workshop. Very few works are known to carry Carlo's individual label, and his own output is almost non-existent
