Gaetano Pasta (b.1678, moved to Brescia after 1700), one of Bartolomeo Pasta's several sons, relocated to Brescia, where in January 1701 he married Caterina, the widow of the bowmaker/maker Stefano Lassigner, inheriting Lassigner's workshop through the marriage — a real, documented instance of the common practice of a maker's business passing to a new husband via a widow's remarriage. His younger brother Carlo Ambrogio also spent time working in Brescia before eventually returning to Milan.
