Notes:

"[This violin] has been dated to circa 1750, but whose actual date of construction may well be reconsidered in light of future research. . .The outline follows a pattern much like that of the Rogeris, and the edging -- small, neat, nicely rounded, with curious corners brought almost to an exaggerated teardrop -- are especially reminiscent of the work of Pietro Giacomo Rogeri, the son of Giovanni Battista."
