Pierre Cuniot
Bow maker
(1839 – 1884)
Pierre Cuniot (1839–1884), a Mirecourt bowmaker, is estimated on the basis of his birth date to have begun his own apprenticeship around 1850–1855, possibly under François Xavier Bazin. His son, Eugène Cuniot — later known in the trade as "Cuniot-Hury" — was born 22 December 1861 and trained under his father without any real difficulty, continuing the family trade into the next generation.
