Charles Collin-Mézin was the son and assistant of Charles Jean-Baptiste Collin. He traveled extensively and spent time in America before returning to Mirecourt in 1900. Instruments made by him were labelled `Le Victorieux'. The business continued after his death under Jean Larcher and his son Charles Jean-Baptiste Collin-Mezin (III) (b. 1910).
