Charles Moinel
(1866 – 1945)
Charles Moinel was the son and pupil of François Moinel. He also trained with Emile Germain. In 1893, he succeeded his uncle Cherpitel's business, which thereafter became known as Moinel-Cherpitel. He retired to Voulangais in 1921, where he continued to work alone but returned to Paris before 1945. His work featured fine craftsmanship on classical Italian models, utilizing a red-brown varnish over a golden ground.
