Giuseppe Modaudo
(1880 – after 1940)
Giuseppe Modaudo worked for the Carabba Brothers in Catania starting in 1894. He emigrated to the USA in 1905 and established himself in New York, later moving to Chicago. In 1949, he returned to Rome. He produced over 500 instruments of good trade quality, including Cremonese and Brescian models, some featuring an 'antique' finish and others inlaid and decorated on the back.
