Cesare Maggiali
Violin maker

Cesare Maggiali was an amateur maker active in Fossola, Carrara from 1951, later establishing himself at 52 Corso Cavour, La Spezia. He received guidance from I. Sderci and worked with Stradivari and Guarneri models featuring golden-brown varnish. He exhibited at Cremona in 1937 and won a gold medal at Rome in 1954. He was credited with 150 violins, as well as violas and three cellos.
