Charles Meriotte trained in Mirecourt and was active in Lyon from approximately 1750 to 1763, after which he established himself in Paris. His work featured the old Mirecourt style with dull yellow-brown or red-yellow varnish. The workmanship was decent, with neat purfling and flat arching.
