Bohuslav Lantner
(1862 – 1918)
Bohuslav Lantner was the son and pupil of Ferdinand Lantner. He worked in Germany before settling in Prague in 1891. His models included Stradivari, Guarneri, and personal designs. He used various varnishes: his early work featured a brittle spirit recipe, while later examples utilized a soft oil varnish of red-brown color.
