Leo Mayr trained at Mittenwald under M. Klotz, H. Karner, and L. Hornsteiner. He subsequently worked for J. Padewet and H. Glassl. In 1957, he established himself independently in Ingoldstadt and took over the shop of his former teacher H. Glassl in Munich in 1972.
