Augustin Claudot

Augustin Claudot was the elder son of Charles Claudot (I). He was a maker of violins and bows, known for good workmanship and light orange varnish. A good Stradivari model violin and a lyre-guitar signed 'Augustin Claudot' were held in the Berlin Museum. Bows were branded with 'AUGUSTIN CLAUDOT'.
