August Rau

(1866 – 1951)
August Rau was one of the finest bow makers of the German school. He worked for W. Knopf and A. R. Weichold in Dresden. He established himself in Markneukirchen from 1890 to 1939. His bows featured elegant heads with the best pernambuco sticks.
