Paul Lorange I
(1873 – 1920)
Paul Lorange worked for Blanchard in Lyons, Gautie in Toulouse, and Mougenot in Brussels. He established himself independently in Lyons in 1899. His work included Stradivari, Guarneri, and particularly fine Amati models. He used very fine materials and various shades of red oil varnish with good consistency, sometimes shaded to imitate age.
