Anton Poller II
Violin maker
(1873 – c. 1925)
Anton Poller studied under J. Ringer in Luby and later worked in Markneukirchen, Mittenwald, Berlin, and other locations. He joined J. Stubinger in Vienna and established himself independently there from 1904. He served as the Director of the Luthier's Guild and was an eminent collector and connoisseur. His work featured classical Italian models, primarily Stradivari copies, showcasing fine and accurate workmanship. He used golden-orange oil varnish and excellent materials.
