Anton Poller studied under J. Ringer in Luby and later worked in Markneukirchen, Mittenwald, Berlin, and other locations. He joined J. Stubinger in Vienna and established himself independently there from 1904. He served as the Director of the Luthier's Guild and was an eminent collector and connoisseur.
