Anton Kessel worked commercially, primarily on the Guarneri model, which was retailed in England by Foucher and later by Haynes and Co. His workmanship was good, featuring a decent golden-brown varnish. Bows of comparable quality were branded: ANTON KESSEL. Kessel was a Geigenmacher in Breitenfeld.
