Rudolf Herbert Leicht was the brother and pupil of Max Leicht. He was active in Berlin and Hamburg. He established himself independently in Hohendorf. His violins were made in the Möckel style. He produced good bows, which were branded: R. H. LEICHT HAMBURG, R. HERBERT LEICHT.
