Alphonse van Hoof trained in Markneukirchen. He worked in 'S Hertogenbosch, Holland in 1920, Borgerhout near Antwerp in 1923, and later in Tilburg and Antwerp. He was credited with approximately 150 instruments, which were closely observed copies of various Italian masters.
