François Le Jeune operated the shop 'A la Harpe Royale' on the rue de la Juiverie. He was the master of the luthiers guild in 1765. Henley provided a detailed description of his violins, which featured a long and narrow model, Brescian soundholes, a slim head, and golden-brown varnish. Other instruments followed familiar Mirecourt lines and had dull yellow varnish. Vannes mentioned only pochettes, a guitar, archlute, pardessus de viol, viola, and harps.
