Alexandre Alfred Acoulon was active in Paris in 1889. He was created Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in 1900. From 1914, he became a partner in the firm of Thibouville-Lamy at Mirecourt. He received gold medals at the Paris and Brussels Exhibitions in 1900 and 1910. His son Alfred Etienne succeeded him at Thibouville-Lamy. He also produced bows, generally with octagonal sticks, branded: A. ACOULON PARIS A. Acoulon / No.. Anno. 1908. See also THIBOUVILLE, Stradivari, and Guarneri models.
