Albin Charles Lambotte was a medical doctor and a self-taught luthier. He was credited with 100 violins, violas, and cellos based on classical models. He retired to Antwerp. Inlaid Maggini copies were found in the Conservatoires of Liège and Antwerp. He also made several viola d'amores. His brand appeared below the back button: `C. L. '.
