Laurent (Lorenz) Küntzel

Laurent (Lorenz) Küntzel was active in Breslau from 1815 to 1857. He subsequently established himself in Berlin, where he was appointed luthier to the court in 1858. He was a prolific maker, though his work was of unremarkable quality, featuring Cremonese and personal models. His varnish came in various shades and was made with excellent materials. In 1862, he exhibited a quartet in London.
