Adolf Heinrich König
Violin maker

Adolf Heinrich König was a pupil of Liestal in Basle and worked for Aerts in Brussels. From 1944 to 1973, he served as the first director of the violin making school at Brienz. In 1949, he received a Diploma of Honour at The Hague. He held the position of president of the Swiss violin makers association from 1976 to 1984. His creations included violins, violas, and cellos of fine workmanship based on classical models, as well as viols and guitars.
