Martin Kuntze-Fechner studied chemistry and earned a Doctor of Philosophy at Boston University (USA). He studied violin in Munich before taking up violin making. He worked in Brussels around 1905-1912 before returning to Munich and later moving to Wall. His fine workmanship featured good materials and brown oil varnish. Kuntze-Fechner created No. 30 in Brussels in 1910.
