Michael Klotz was the son of Johann Karl Klotz and is known for his rare instruments, which often bore the labels of Joseph Klotz. He created decorated work featuring ebony and ivory inlay on the outer edges and around the scroll, with some instruments having backs made of bird's eye maple.
