Pierre Napoléon Jeandel
(1810 – 1878)
Pierre Napoléon Jeandel was a pupil of Charotte in Mirecourt starting in 1830 and moved to Rouen in 1835 to work with Joseph Charotte. He succeeded to Charotte's business in 1848 in partnership with Lucien Delau. The shop later relocated from 36 Beauvoisine to 51 quai de Paris. He received awards at expositions in Rouen and Paris. His large flat-arched Mirecourt model featured a heavy red-brown varnish over a yellow ground and was signed internally: Jeandel.
