Eugen Wahl
Violin maker
(1877 – 1961)
Eugen Wahl was a wood sculptor and violinist who spent some time studying in Switzerland. He became an amateur violin maker in 1908 and established himself professionally in Kreuzstrasse, Karlsruhe, from 1909. A master's certificate was obtained in 1913. His work included Stradivari, Guarneri, and personal models, using spirit varnish in appropriate shades and fine wood.
