Joseph Voirin (1837-1895), one of Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume's own young cousins along with his brother Francois Nicolas Voirin, was counted among the most remarkable of the many relatives and craftsmen Vuillaume could draw on for his workshop. In 1867 he left for Chateau-Thierry, where he in turn engaged a young Alfred Lamy as his own employee.
