Christian August Hopf

Christian August Hopf produced various grades of work, including some unpurfled for trade sale and better instruments featuring purfling and superior wood. He utilized a very low flat arch with a broad edge channel. The varnish was light brown or orange. His branding appeared on the inside of the back as 'C. A. Hopf or 'Hopf, Manuscript label.
