Johann Baptist Havelka
(d. 1799)
The earliest work was dated 1755. Meinrad Franck succeeded him in business and continued to use his label, with manuscript amendments, for some time. His work exhibited fine craftsmanship in the Viennese school manner, featuring a varied choice of wood and a thickly applied red-brown varnish. He created a piece in 1774, marked "Joannes Baptista Havelka / fecit Anno 1774, " and another in 1780, labeled "Joa. Bapt. Havelka / Fecit Lincii. Anno 1780. " There was also a work attributed to him, noted as "nach / Joannes Baptist Havelar / Fecit Wien. Anno 19.. ".
