Louis Joseph Thomassin

Louis Joseph Thomassin was a bow maker. He was a pupil of C. Bazin and later worked in Paris for Voirin in 1872. After Voirin's death in 1885, he continued to work for Voirin's widow but established himself independently on the Boulevard Rochechouart in 1891, later relocating to 143 Boulevard Menilmontant. He supplied work to N. Audinot, P. Blanchard, Chanot, Gand, and H. C. Sylvestre. His fine work was based very closely on the Voirin style. He branded his work as L. THOMASSIN A PARIS.
