Victor Thomassin (1859–1916), son of the violin and bow maker Nicolas François Joseph Thomassin and younger brother of Louis Joseph Thomassin, trained traditionally in his native Mirecourt, probably — like his first cousins Louis and Claude Auguste — under Charles Nicolas Bazin. His own son, Justin Thomassin, born 1893, carried the family trade to England, making bows in the English tradition for George [Withers, per the same source].
