Anders Enfried Halvarson

Anders Enfried Halvarson was a violin and bow maker. He emigrated to the USA in 1924 to work for William Lewis & Son in Chicago. He established himself independently in Nashville in 1926, later partnering with William Meyers to form `Meyers & Halvarson'. His output was prolific, with bows branded as MEYERS & HALVARSON until 1958; thereafter, they were branded HALVARSON. He produced approximately 100 violins and 12 violas of various grades.
