Johann Georg Gütter was the son of Georg Adam Gütter II. He worked briefly in Erfurt around 1799 and was recognized as one of the better makers in his family, known for professional work that utilized good materials and featured yellow or dark golden-brown varnish. His craftsmanship also extended to Neukirchen and Markneukirchen.
