Treffle R. Gervais
(b. 1863)
Treffle R. Gervais worked for Elias Howe from 1885 to 1886, and subsequently for A. W. White, Orrin Weeman, and J. B. Squier. He made his first instrument in 1882 and established himself independently in 1898. He was primarily engaged in repairs and created models based on Stradivari and Guarneri. His varnish was dark golden-yellow. He made a violin in 1897 in Boston, Mass.
