Alfredo G. Galea
(b. 1909)
Alfredo G. Galea studied under Coschiera in Alexandria around 1920. He established himself in Cairo and then moved to Durban, South Africa around 1945, before emigrating to the USA in 1970 and working in Long Beach, California. He used a Stradivari model and was credited with over 200 instruments, but he faced criticism for applying his own varnish to old instruments, which substantially compromised their authenticity and value.
