Giuseppe Rossi

Giuseppe Rossi was born in Florence in 1868 and may have been a pupil of Eugenio Degani. He primarily worked in Rome. Rossi's models were varied, but mostly from the classical Italian school. Workmanship is good, and varnish is usually spirit-based and yellow-pink in color. His student Simone Fernando Sacconi went on to become one of the world's most respected restorers and experts on violin making.
