Pietro Alfonso Ferraroni
Violin maker

Pietro Alfonso Ferraroni was active as a luthier and sculptor from 1929. He was an associate of Digiuni, Schiavi, and Tatar. He worked on classical models with some personal inflections and used a transparent golden-yellow varnish. In 1979, he entered a violin and cello in the 2nd Cremona Triennale. An annual award for the best scroll carving at the International Violin Making School in Cremona was named in his honour.
