Marie Louis Piernot (1880–1959) apprenticed in the workshop of Charles Nicolas Bazin from 1892 to 1900, then moved to Paris the same year to refine his skills further under Joseph Arthur Vigneron père. In 1906, following the death of Arthur Vigneron père, Piernot joined Léon Bernardel's own workshop.
