Samuel Wesley Daniels was the husband of Constance Daniels. He was a self-taught amateur maker starting in 1936. A farmer, he retired to Jerome, Idaho, where he established a violin business. He created Stradivari and Guarneri models using commercial varnish. Most instruments were made with good imported wood, while some utilized local materials. He produced over 100 violins and three violas.
