Mario D'Alessandro
Violin maker

Mario D'Alessandro trained at R. Wurlitzer & Co. under Roman Klier starting in 1948 and later studied with Simone Sacconi. He established his own business in Nutley, New Jersey, in 1974. His work included classical models, some featuring an antique shaded finish. A violin was illustrated in the catalogue of the Sacconi Loan Exhibition in New York in 1966. He recorded nine violins and two violas.
