Romedio Muncher
Violin maker
(1874 – 1940)
Romedio Muncher worked for Cavalli's 'Monteverdi' workshop. He later established himself independently. He produced a notable personal model with compact proportions and also made student-grade instruments for sale through the firm of Bottali Roth & Pelitti. He created a prolific number of violins, violas, cellos, and double basses, most featuring dark red or deep golden-brown varnish. Some of his work included copies of classical instruments. He was an important maker during the declining period of Cremonese work.
