Mario Capicchioni
Violin maker
(1926 – 2022)
Rimini's trade brought Mario Capicchioni to his father Marino's side from around 1943, and it was alongside him, not apart from him, that he began entering competitions in his own name — prizes at Florence and Rome followed in 1951 and 1952, and by 1959 he had reached his own greatest individual achievement, a gold medal for a Tertis-model viola.
