Mateo Bruni
(1884 – 1964)
Mateo Bruni studied under Gaetano Sgarabotto from 1900 to 1904. He worked for G. Capalbo until 1912 and then for A. Pollastri from 1913 to 1921. He established himself in Genoa in 1922 before emigrating to Buenos Aires in 1930 to reunite with Capalbo. There, he operated his own shop on Calle Urugay. He entered the Cremona Exhibition in 1949. His work featured classical Cremonese modeling with orange-yellow varnish.
