J. B. Bredall
(c. 1890 – 1920)
J. B. Bredall was a pupil of Laurent in Mirecourt and worked for Bisiach in Milan as well as with Francois in Paris. For 12 years, he served as the principal repairman at Lyon and Healy in Chicago before establishing his own business in Chicago in 1920. He gained a fine reputation as a copyist of classical instruments, utilizing a rich varnish of his own preparation.
