David Bittner
Violin maker

David Bittner served as the official luthier to the Viennese court and opera. He created classical Cremonese models featuring fine oil varnish. Many instruments were exported to the US. He was recognized as one of the best Viennese makers of the period. His work included all forms of bowed and plucked instruments. All were branded.
