Roger François Lotte was a bow maker, the son, pupil, and assistant of Francois Lotte. He began making bows alongside his father around 1936 and initially adopted his father's elegant and traditional style, later developing a more modern and heavier approach. He received assistance from R. Gerome and L. D. Jeandel in roughing out sticks and frogs, and was later joined by R. Bernard.
