Mathias Theophile Auguste Barbé

Mathias Theophile Auguste Barbé was a bow maker. He possibly apprenticed to C. N. Bazin and later worked for Gand Frères. In 1886, he moved to Paris to work full-time for the business now known as Gand & Bernardel. He returned to Mirecourt around 1890 but continued to follow the Paris style of Voirin. His light brown round sticks were branded: A. BARBÉ.
