Giuseppe (di Saladino) Bargelli was a prolific maker in the Florentine tradition, assisted by his son Gastone (b. 1921). Initially self-taught, he was guided by Sderci after 1918. He established his workshop at 12 Via Saponai, Florence, where he carried out restoration and repairs for the Conservatoire.
